The record: what Foxnut Studios has shipped

What Foxnut Studios has shipped

Foxnut Studios’ work, before it advised anyone, is a set of shipped products with numbers attached: an LVMH Innovation Award won at the Paris startup where one co-founder led marketing, an art-supplies brand sold into 90+ countries, a travel company that planned 100,000+ trips, and a party game the studio designed, manufactured and launched itself. This page is the record of those numbers, and each one carries its method, sample, period and source in plain text.

This record is what the consulting practice this record backs rests on. The fuller story behind each number sits with the person who earned it: the Ithaka and Viviva figures are told on Ameya Sahasrabudhe’s page, the Data&Data and Cats from Hell chapters on Swati Thakur’s page. This page deliberately holds only the numbers and their sourcing, in one place, so they can be checked in one pass.

What the studio got wrong, in its own words

The most useful part of this record is the mistakes, because they are specific and they cost real money. Shipping Cats from Hell, Foxnut Studios undersized a print run. It misread a factory spec. A manufacturer went dark for three months holding the studio’s deposit. Packaging that looked perfect in the print files looked, in person, like something from a hardware store. And the studio launched before it had enough stock to handle the demand.

These are the studio’s own words about its own product, and they are on this page for a reason: a record that only lists wins is a brochure, and the judgment Foxnut Studios sells was priced by exactly these errors. A client engaging the studio on manufacturing, launch cadence or go-to-market is buying the second attempt at each of these decisions, not the first.

What we cannot show you yet

Per-client outcome write-ups. Foxnut Studios does not publish client work without permission to name the client, and it will not publish an anonymised or illustrative version instead, because an unattributable claim is worth nothing to a buyer verifying this studio. What this page can say today is exactly what the founders authorise it to say: the studio’s consulting clients include four it has permission to name - Data&Data, Biocule, Catwise and Supagen AI. The outcome behind each engagement stays unpublished until that client signs off on the specifics, and no number will appear here before one does.

Until that answer arrives, the checkable record above is the evidence on offer: products the founders designed, built and sold with their own capital, with sources a reader can follow without taking the studio’s word for anything.

How each number was counted

Three numbers on this page are externally corroborated today: the LVMH Innovation Award 2021, from Data&Data’s own public announcement; Viviva Colors’ 90+ countries, from an external company profile; and the 118-card deck, stated on the Cats from Hell product page. The rest are the founders’ first-hand figures from internal records they hold, and their spec blocks say so plainly: where a figure cannot be externally retrieved, the source line states that instead of pretending to a public precision it does not have.

Two counting rules govern the page. First, where the public record and the founders’ memory disagree, the public record is published: Viviva’s externally retrievable figure is 90+ countries, so 90+ is what appears above, even though the founders cite a higher number in conversation. Second, no number ships on a round guess: the Cats from Hell player and game-night counts read as round numbers, and round numbers read as fabricated, so each either gets a precise source or comes off the page. Nothing here is illustrative, and nothing is an estimate dressed as a count.
